YJ333 Launcher Completes Demanding Pyeongtaek–Osong HSR Project

2025640.jpgWarm congratulations! HCR (Handan China Railway Bridge Machinery) has completed a highly demanding bridge project for the Pyeongtaek–Osong High-speed Railway in South Korea with the YJ333 Multifunction Beam Launcher. This is not just a crane; it is a combined system of a Straddle Carrier, Transporter, and Launcher all in one.

2025641.jpgThe project demanded a unique solution due to strict safety distances (1.18m clearance) and narrow deck space (6.3m width). It also included a 600m curved radius, a 2.9% downhill gradegirder launching over an active railway line, and erecting double-track girders on single-track piers. Every element pushed the limits of precision and planning. With a strict safety regime and extremely high requirements for risk control, our team overcame complex logistics, tight clearances, and challenging geometry — all while maintaining zero compromise on safety.

2025637.jpgKey Technical Highlights:
Split-Type Design — the upper structure separates from the traveling carriage to allow flexible work on outboard brackets;
Dual-Independent Steering — intelligent control based on LiDAR and machine vision ensures safe travel on tight decks;
Reverse Girder Feeding — a unique process allowing two girders to be lifted and transported within the short 4-hour shutdown window.

2025638.jpgThe video details the step-by-step working sequence, from lifting the first girder from the ground to traversing the second girder into place. HCR turned a logistical nightmare into a smooth, safe, and efficient operation. This delivery is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and resilience of the entire team. Proud of what we’ve achieved together. On to the next challenge.
